Seminar on stochastic mortality projections

Date: Sep 28, 2009

Longevitas Ltd will be hosting a seminar on stochastic projections of mortality on the 28th of September 2009 in Moorgate, London.

This event is by invitation only. If you wish to attend, please contact us. This seminar will cover some key features of stochastic projection models, and includes talks from Dr Iain Currie and Stephen Richards.

Topics to be covered include:

  1. Tackling the basis risk inherent in projections derived from large scale population data by using piggy-back models.
  2. Model risk and the need for a range of stochastic models.
  3. The Extended Lee-Carter family.
  4. Stabilising P-spline projections.
A register will be taken for those wishing to claim actuarial CPD (1.5 hours of technical CPD).
